Hi lovely readers! This is Peak from Style Design Life and I am so excited to be guest blogging on Sam's fabulous blog. I mean, come on, Peak on The Peak Of Tres Chic sounds pretty great already, right?
Today I am hoping to help all of you blog and Pinterest lovers prioritize your needs. Let me explain... If you are like me, you are bombarded with gorgeous images throughout the day of amazing outfits, accessories, shoes, bags, interiors, etc. that force you to continuously add more items to your already never ending wish list. Do you ever think about all the lovely things you would love for your closet and home and think - where the heck do I start?
Have no fear, my dahlings, I am here to help you work through this dilemma. I have listed 5 investment pieces for your closet and 5 investment pieces for your home. While the closet pieces are fairly self explanatory, the home pieces were chosen with all different types of living situations in mind. For instance, it is great to invest in a nice sectional sofa, but not all studios/apartments have room for a sectional. So, I only included items that can fit in any space.
I hope you all enjoy this post and thank you, Sam, for letting me stop by :)
I. The Classic Trench: This is the timeless piece that every fashionista pines for (oh wait... is it just me?). The belt is universally flattering, the neutral color goes with every outfit and the hood protects you and your hair from the elements. All the while, you look amazingly chic - who could ask for more? While this is quite an investment for most of us, it will never go out of style, which makes the cost justifiable. Burberry $1,195
II. The "I Mean Business" Gold Watch: A stylish gold watch like this Michele can stand alone or be surrounded by studded bangles and look fabulous either way. Having a quality watch with swiss movement is, in my opinion, a better alternative to buying a new, lesser quality watch every few years. Is it expensive? Yes, but we are talking investment pieces, ladies :) Michele $2,200
III. The Perfect Blue Jean: What is more attractive than a comfortable pair of jeans that fit like a glove? A lot of women dread trying on jeans, but you know what they say dahhlings - pain is beauty! A great fitting pair of jeans is an easy go-to that can be dressed up or down, and is truly an irreplaceable staple in every closet. Citizens $119
IV. The Carry-All Black Leather Stunner: In work or play, we all need a sizable black bag to carry our stuff in. Again, the Saffiano is one of those pieces that will never go out of style and should hold up for a very long time. And it's appearance doesn't hurt either - hot! Prada $2,100
V. The Multi-Function Nude Pump: I am personally dying for this nude Louboutin pump. It tones down a wild outfit... it harmonizes with a simple outfit... it is a yummy shoe! The red sole is so recognizable and so sexy. Yes, there are less expensive nude pumps in the world. But if possible, including this shoe in your collection will undoubtedly make you quite happy :) Christian Louboutin $845
I. The "Wow" Art: Of course, this doesn't need to be abstract (that is just what I like the most). Any art that makes you feel happy to look at is worth spending a few dollars on. Even finding great prints on Etsy and framing them can make a world of difference in a room. Cocoa & Hearts $1,100 (Sold Out)
II. The Peakaboo Acrylic Console: No matter where you live, be it a one bedroom apartment or a multi-bedroom home, you can always use an acrylic console somewhere. They are a quick update in any space and aren't even a huge investment - yipee! CB2 $379
III. The Statement Mirror: Another piece that you can use in every and any space you inhabit... a fantastic mirror like this will amaze your dinner party guests in an entry or a power room. Wisteria $2,399
IV. The Timeless Upholstered Wing Chair: This classic shape is fabulous in a living room, office, bedroom... the list goes on! Throw a decorative ikat pillow on this bad boy and you have a comfortable and chic addition to your space. Restoration Hardware $1,185
V. The Always Necessary Drapery: I have learned that the two fastest ways to improve a room is a great rug and drapery, drapery, drapery! It adds a softness and texture to a room in an instant. West Elm $79/Panel
Thanks, Peak! I hope you will all check out her lovely blog at Style Design Life. XOXO!
