Needing, Wanting, Loving: Steel Windows

My latest design obsession is steel windows and doors. The image above just leaves me breathless.  The high contrast between the dark steel and the glass creates a beautiful mix of industrial minimalism.  The great interior designer and architect John Saladino has been utilizing them in his designs for years:

When I build my dream house (one day!) I'll definitely be utilizing steel windows and doors.  And maybe a steel shower door, too!

What do you think? Are you crazy about steel windows, too?

  8. Those steel windows are gorgeous! I am always a fan of adding a little industrial style to a home and I love them in that bathroom, such a unique place to use them. I usually go for pane glass but I like the feel of the steel!

I am remodeling a house north of Houston and have been trying to find a local source for steel windows. They are timeless. Do you have any suggestions where to find them in Houston/vicinity?

    Love this post!
