I love making a statement through a single piece of décor. Whether it be a fabulous abstract watercolor painting above a fireplace, a velvet leopard cluchair, or a colorful runner that adds life to a mundane hallway- a single element that can pack a punch isn't easily forgotten. Today I thought I'd share a few of my favorite runners (mostly Persian- no surprise there) that bring life to hallways, kitchens, and living spaces:
Alex Kaehler added this blush pink Persian rug to her kitchen- and the result is stunning. I love the pop of color and life the rug adds against the sleekness of her kitchen cabinetry and tile.
And finally- who can get over Erin Gates Glen Eden leopard stair runner? Not I. The lusciousness of the print honestly makes me drool.
Speaking of Erin, girlfriend will be making an appearance and signing her newly released coffee table book, Elements of Style, tomorrow at Tootsies here in Houston from 6-8 pm! Can you guess where I'll be? Yep, acting like a bonafied fan girl as I meet one of my favorite fellow bloggers.

And just as an FYI, here are a few of my favorite sources for runners:
