Today's boudoir of the day is a lovely respite of gentle colors and soft finishes.  What takes this room from ordinary to memorable for me are the 2 silver gilded Louis Phillipe mirrors above the bed.  It adds an interesting focal point above the headboard- I've never seen a grouping of mirrors like this work so well.

This bedroom was featured in the latest issue of Lonny mag.  At the risk of appearing redundant (isn't everybody featuring images from Lonny's latest issue, everywhere it seems?) I just had to feature this bedroom.  I have a weak spot for tufted headboards, and the crisp white against the monogrammed white linens is so classically beautiful.  I also adore the sconce- a unique alternative to the typical reading lamp in a bedroom.  The turquoise bedside table adds the perfect pop of color to create a serene bedroom retreat.

Today's boudoir comes from Lily Catherine, a fellow blogger and decor lover.  When she sent me pictures of her feminine bedroom, I had to feature it!  The style is very girly and whimsical, perfect for a gal living on her own or with a roommate- when we can still decorate with lots of florals and pinks.  I love the painted furniture and the pretty vanity.  She recently painted her walls a taupe color, which adds a bit of sophistication to her boudoir.  Great job, Lily!  Thank you for sharing with us.

Today's boudoir of the day comes from Lauren Flax of the Splendid Objects blog.  This is her "real-life" Toronto loft, which she decorated herself.  I love the femininity and coziness of her boudoir.  The floral dress hung near her desk reminds me of The Coveteur. I like that The pendant light gives off an industrial chic vibe that manages to play nicely with the glam touches. Great job, Lauren!

This room has me seriously swooming.  I love the kilam rug that brings out the reds in the quilt and curtains.  The French headboard with gold accents is right up my alley.  Wouldn't you love to come home to this sanctuary every evening?

Today's boudoir of the day is a maximalist's dream room.  The deep blue walls, blue headboard and blue diamond rug might be a bit much for most decoristas, but this bedroom is noteworthy nonetheless.  I love the touches of gold and the lamp is my favorite piece of furniture here.   What do you think?

When I first laid eyes on this bedroom.... of course the chandelier made me drool.  It adds a romanticism to this classically designed bedroom.  I love the warm hues and the velvet chair.  Dreamy, indeed!

I love this bedroom!  The bamboo blinds and jute rug add a natural element that works well when juxtaposed against the bold orange headboard and bedding.  I also love the small brass floor lamps on each side of the upholstered settee.   I would love to have a porch right outside my bedroom!

Confession:  I love equestrian art.   Although I didn't grow up on a farm with my own horse, I have always been attracted to these sweet animals and their gentle nature.  Naturally, this picture drew me in before the white nailhead bed did.  Still, the bed, the tufted bench, and the bold patterned pillows are nothing short of divine.  I adore this glamorous boudoir!

My Boudoir

Hello, lovelies!  Happy Thursday.  I hope you are all having a lovely week.  As you have probably noticed, I have begun a new feature called Boudoir of the Day.  Each day (typically at 7 pm CST) I post an image of a bedroom that features good design and inspires me.  I love to glimpse in to a person's "everyday" life and a bedroom can be very telling.  Today I wanted to share a few snapshots of my own boudoir.  Because I live alone, I have free reign when it came to the style of my decor, so obviously I created a very feminine and glamorous aesthetic.

I love this boudoir.  An oversized map behind the headboard is such a unique decor idea and adds to the overall French vintage feel of the room.  Of course I adore the zebra print pillow and wooden bench at the end of the bed.  What do you think?

I am delighted by the upholstered chevron headboard incorporating pinks, greens, and white.  This bedroom exudes femininity and tranquility.  I think it's perfect for a guest room!  I also love the sconces and the artwork featured by the bed.  This room was styled by S.B. Long Interiors, Inc. and was featured on New England Home.

Today's bedroom is the perfect recipe for a Monday- calming, ethereal, charming. I love the touches of gold on the X Benches, the mirror and the table lamp.  The curtains add just the right amount of luxe.  I think I am ready to hide from Monday and climb in this bed.  Gorgeous!
