I purposefully titled this one "Gift Ideas Under $25" rather than "Stocking Stuffer Ideas under $25" because I didn't want anyone accusing me of encouraging Christmas shopping hysteria too early in the year. :) Nonetheless, I have gifting on my mind as product pitches for the season have started rolling in to my inbox. I love an affordable + useful gift as much as the next person, so I thought I'd share a few of the best items I've come across lately with you today- in case anyone out there is an early shopper...

2017 Gift Guide: Under $50
Raise your hand with me if you still have most of your Christmas shopping to do. I'm not typically a procrastinator, but when it comes to Christmas gifts I can never get my act together. I tend to overthink gifting and try to come up with the most *unique* gifts I can for my friends and family, and before I know it I'm out of time. Luckily, some companies have us last-minute-gifters in mind and are offering speedy shipping almost right up to Christmas Eve. Also, some are running some pretty awesome sales- like J. Crew (40% off everything through December 19th with code TIME2GIVE) and Anthropologie (25% off everything + free shipping, no code required). I thought I'd round up a few favorite gift ideas today that won't break the bank AND will arrive in time to stick underneath the tree:
Shop Gifts Under $50:
1.) Gabriela Tassel Earrings $48/
2.) Indigo Vines iPhone case $35/
3.) Herringbone Twill Scarf $49.50 (40% off through December 19th with code TIME2GIVE)/
4.) Emilia Embroidered Organic Sheet Sets, $22+/Medium Monogrammed Pouch, $45 (40% off through December 19th with code TIME2GIVE/
5.) Ribbed beanie with faux-fur pom pom $39.50/
7.) Double-Knit Half-Zip Pullover, $35.50 with code TIME2GIVE
9.) Half-Moon Drop Statement Earrings, $16/
10.) Camp Socks, $12.50/ (and some for the males, too)
12.) Medium Pouch in Italian leather $45/
Also digging this set, wanting to add this and this to my coffee table, a cute gift for your favorite furry friend, and what I plan to wear for the upcoming 7 days at home. I also plan to get this for my 4 year-old niece. Here are a few more ideas...

Gift Guide: For the Host & Hostess
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm uncharacteristically feeling the holiday spirit this season. I've already been burning my favorite holiday candle (thanks to my brother for the early bday present!), and saw that the larger 3-wick version is currently 25% off, AND I'm getting a mini tinsel tree for my apartment. With Thanksgiving in just a few days and Christmas not too far off either, I have hostess holiday gift ideas on the brain. Now, if you're coming to my place, the only thing you need to bring me is a bottle of Rombauer chardonnay. But let's try to get a little more creative...
Gift Guide: For the Hostess with the Mostest
1.) MoMa Design Store Backgammon Set, $89/2.) Insulated Wine Totes $59/3.) Craft Cocktails Book $50/4.) Sugarfina "Taste of Paradise" Candy Bento Box $28/
5.) Mr. and Mrs. Cocktail Glasses $24 (these would look cute perched on this)/

Gift Guide: For the Kids
It's only been in the last few years that I have become interested in anything relating to children, thanks to my adorable niece and nephew! Nowadays, I'm preoccupied with wanting to be a "cool aunt"- someone who reads them their books with the best voice inflections, who imparts bits of wisdom on them when they least expect it, and who lets them eat as many sugar cookies as their little hearts desire. I also want to bring them home the coolest gifts for Christmas. Whether you're shopping for a newborn, a toddler, or a child, here are a few gift ideas to get you going:
Shop this Post (top to bottom, left to right):
Freshly Picked Moccasins in Newborn Sky $45 or Cardigan Pink $60/Flavia Flamingo $24/Mermaid Paper Doll Set $20/Hatchimals Interactive Creatures $210/Hasbro Little Golden Companion Pup $120/The Doodle Backpack $19.95/J. Crew Glow-in-the-Dark Animal Teeth Shirt $32.50/Maya Sparkly Gold Dress $115/Little Patient Balloon Dog Nightlight $25/
Creating this post made me realize 2 things- #1: Toys have gotten so much cooler than when I was a kid. The Hatchimals Interactive Creatures actually hatch. The Hasbro Golden Companion Pup behaves like a real dog.
#2: Some activities that appeal to children are timeless. Coloring is still in. Glow-in-the-dark is still cool. Paper dolls are still endlessly entertaining.
It's good to know some things never change.

Gift Guide: For the Dads
This week's Christmas gift guide is for the dads. I find my own dad is the hardest person to shop for. I always end up getting him some sort of lame gift card because of my own indecisiveness and failure to plan ahead (or failure to do something creative). That's why I love Uncommon Goods, Mark & Graham, and Urban Outfitters for gifts that really go outside the box. Whether your dad is a sports-lover, a fashionisto, or just lazy- I've got you covered:
Shop Dad Gifts:
Yeti Sidekick $35/Portable Charcoal Grill $50/Scotch-Infused Toothpicks Gift Set $35.95/MVMT 45MM Leather-Strap Watch $95/Harry Benson: The Beatles Coffee Table book $70/Personalized Titelist Pro V1 Golf Balls $40/Chuck Taylor Navy Leather Sneakers $89.95/Crosley Harper Bluetooth Speaker $79/Men's Warming Slippers $48/Mini Poker Set $79/
For the outdoorsy dad: The waterproof Yeti Sidekick attaches to your Yeti Cooler and is perfect for holding your phone, keys, and wallet while keeping them dry.
For the die-hard tailgating dad: The Gibson Portable Charcoal Grill will make your dad the most popular guy at his next BBQ or tailgate.
For the scotch-loving dad: Scotch-Infused Toothpicks Gift Set
For the fashionable dad: 45MM Leather-Banded Watch & Chuck Taylor Navy Leather Sneakers
For the music-loving dad: If your dad is anything like my dad, he LOVES the Beatles (my dad still hasn't forgiven Yoko). Harry Benson's hardcover coffee table book features a collection of iconic as well as rarely-seen photos of the Beatles.
There's a million bluetooth speakers on the market, but none as nostagic or stylish as the Crosley Harper speaker, available in mint or cream.
For the golfing dad: Personalize a set of Titelist Pro V1 Golf Balls to make them extra special. Here's to hoping he doesn't lose them all after 1 round.
For the homebody dad: Men's Aromatic Warming Slippers- Heat these babies up in the microwave to warm your feet at the end of the day. The insoles are filled with aromatic lavender buds and thermally conductive flax seeds.
For the gambling dad: The Mini Travel Poker Set is perfect for traveling and entertaining at parties, and the leather case can be monogrammed/inscribed!

Gift Guide for the Dudes
Happy Monday! When it comes to holiday shopping, no one is harder to shop for than the typical male. Why? Guys often don't even know themselves what they'd like to receive as a gift. And if they really want something, they'll typically go out and buy it on their own. So what's the solution? Choose to buy the men in your life something so stylish, useful, and/or cool that they won't be able to help but love it. As Steve Jobs said, "Most people don't know what they want until you put it in front of them." To help you think of something, I rounded up a few of my favorite gift ideas for the dudes this Christmas:
Shop Gift Guide for Men:
Ray Ban Wayfarers $150/J Crew Garment Dyed Shirt $49.50/S42 Stainless Tube Watch $399/Novel Duffle Bag $80/Book of Golf Courses Leather Book $115/Neighbors Notch Top Lapel Coat $199/Beats by Dre $299/Yeti 20oz Tumbler $30/Chuck Taylor Canvas Sneakers $69.50/Ash Wood Bottle Opener $29/
Favorite Websites for Men:
Fashion:
Home Goods:
Grooming:
Miscellaneous:
TRNK is my go-to for home decor, furniture, rugs, and art with a masculine aesthetic, and Mr. Porter is a great website for men's fashion and style.
Happy Shopping!

Valentine's Wishes: Chronicles of Frivolity
Happy (almost) Valentine’s
Day! I’m Katey from Chroniclesof Frivolity! Sam and I worked together on a little leopard lovin’ this
past August.
I fangirl over Sam’s aesthetic [she’s got “it girl” down] and was so excited
when she wanted me to share a few of my Valentine’s Day favorites for this
little day of love.
I contemplated
sharing sentimental gifts, and then I though, “Ehhh…it’s the day of love and
who are we the best at treating?! Ourselves. “ Le duh.
If you want to invest
in yourself this day, I pulled some pieces that fit the bill.
YSL lipsticks have
become my favorite little indulgence as of late. Their formula is so creamy and
leaves the prettiest stain. I have a pair of Rockstuds in pink and while it’s a
bit impractical it adds dimension to my favorite all-black ensemble. A Mara
Hoffman cheeky swimsuit is something every girl can rock along with a Clare V. clutch for your girl’s night out. The RM ring screams
Kate Moss with the girly and glam marriage of material. And lastly, send
yourself flowers! Make sure to act like you aren’t sure which date they are
from! ;)
Enjoy yourself this Valentine’s Day!

Valentine's Day Gift Picks
Valentine's Day- Some love it, some hate it. Whether you think it's a manufactured "Hallmark" holiday or a chance to celebrate with the one you love, it does give you an excuse to polish up your wishlist. We all have that one piece of jewelry or one scented candle we have our eye on but don't necessarily feel like spending the money on for ourselves.
Shop My Valentine's Day Picks:
Gold Chevron Bib Necklace $30/Pom Pom Spotted Lumbar $80/Topshop Scalloped Body Con Dress $68/J Crew Gold Triple Stack Cuff $29.50/Thierry Mugler "Alien" Perfume $80/Diane von Furstenburg Claire Slingback Pumps $325
I love a scalloped edge on anything- and a little black dress would make for the perfect Valentine's Day date night attire. Pair it with these fun DVF hot pink pumps for a splash of color.
My go-to scent these days is Alien by Thierry Mugler. I get at least 1 or 2 people a day commenting on how much they love the woody scent when I wear it. The best part is that the bottle is refillable at Sephora!
Now let me tell you- it's important to make a list. Otherwise, you might end up with 2 stuffed gorillas (totaling $60) from CVS. I MAY or MAY NOT have been a bit tipsy this past weekend and impulse bought these cuddly guys. #treatyoself
Oops!! :)

Holiday Wishlist: Lovely Little Details
For the fourth installment of the Holiday Gift Guide Series 2014, I am thrilled to have Jacin Fitzgerald of Lovely Little Details here today. Jacin is one of the coolest and most creative chicks I know. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Pat and their Australian Shepherd Rhody, and works as a wedding planner and floral designer. I have the pleasure of knowing her in person, and she's so down-to-earth and fun. Although she now resides in Atlanta, Jacin grew up in New England, and has a definite east coast aesthetic.
{Jacin, her husband Pat, and their beloved pup Rhody}

Holiday Gift Guide: Short & Sweet
For the 3rd installment of my Holiday Gift Guide series, I am excited to have the lovely Alexa and Kirby of Short and Sweet blog here to share their picks. I had the honor of meeting Alexa at last year's Design Bloggers Conference in LA, and I am dying to meet Kirby. Both girls are incredibly stylish, down-to-earth, and sweet as can be.
Alexa & Kirby picked out a few gifts for the men and women in your life, as well as the world traveler and entertainer. I'd love to have that Kate Spade serving tray!
Cheers,
