Boudoir of the Day

I love to see a person's personality infused in to their home.  One lady who has really developed a knack for this is Naomi of Design Manifest.  I am sure you have all seen images from her lovely loft floating around the blogosphere.  Today I decided to feature Naomi's bedroom because she recently posted that she was looking for a new home and would be moving away from the loft we all fell in love with.

I love the Marilyn Monroe print, and the bohemian feel of her bedding.  Naomi certainly has a unique talent for making a space her own, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with in her next home!

Since starting my blog, I occasionally have been asked- what's the story behind it?  Why is it called "The Peak of Tres Chic", and what keeps me posting every day?  Although my About Me page dabbles in it a bit, please allow me to take you back in time for a brief moment.

Coachella Packing List

I am literally busting at the seams with excitement about Coachella.  My boyfriend and I are going to Weekend 2 (this coming weekend) and I can barely focus on work or school as I dream about all the fun we're going to have.  I have gone to many music festivals, but this will be my first time at Coachella.  My boyfriend considers himself a seasoned veteran, having gone more than a handful of times, so I think I'll be in good hands.  Of course, my mind is preoccupied with packing this week.  I am packing light fabrics and neutrals for mixing and matching and combating the desert heat.

With the start of a new job and the onset of spring weather, I have been adding to my collection of Instagram snaps.  Photos include fresh flowers for my house, amethyst bookends found at an antique store, pretty Kelly Wearstler fabrics, and David Hicks' geometric wallpaper.  I also happened to find these Manolos in my mom's closet, and she kindly allowed me to borrow them.  She's so stylish!  My boyfriend and I went to the opening Astros baseball game, and have been frequenting patios for Tex-Mex food and a few adult beverages, too! ;)  What have you been up to, friends?

Monday Morning Inspiration: From Ashley Nicole Catherine

Hi, everyone! This is Ashley of fashion and lifestyle blog, ashley nicole catherine. I'm so excited Sam asked me to guest post and share some of what inspires me! Sam's blog has become a daily read and I've come to love her "boudoir of the day" features. I got to thinking about what inspires my blog posts and i realized you only have to look as far as my pinterest boards. What did I do before pinterest?? For those who follow ANC, you probably know that my fiance, J, and I have just over a month until our wedding! We are so so excited and I've been sharing wedding details about our big day along the way. I genuinely love all things wedding-related and have found such inspiration through beautiful weddings.

Because ANC started as a fashion blog, fashion and style still remains a big topic on the blog. Even though I shop for a bargain and mix investment pieces with super affordable pieces, I draw a lot of inspiration from runway shows. My favorite designers/labels include Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Elie Saab, and Jenny Packham.

One of the reasons I decided to branch out from just fashion posts on ANC is my interest in interior design. I love beautiful places and spaces and with creating our registries and dreaming about buying a house, I can't get enough of design and decor! I've even been stowing away ideas on my future girl cave board for a feminine room that I'm insisting exists in our dream home.

Happy Friday, all my loves!  What a week it has been!  I am looking forward to a much-needed massage after work today.
