Monday Morning Inspiration~ From Little Bits of Lovely
Hello there! It's Rachel here from Little Bits of Lovely and I'm thrilled to be guest posting for Sam today + sharing my Monday morning inspiration with you.
Monday's are undoubtedly the toughest day of the week, so I wanted to put a positive spin on the Monday Blue's and channel them to create an inspiring start to the week - the chance to start fresh with a clean slate, wide-open with opportunities there for the taking…
Have a beautiful week ahead,

Northern Ireland Loft Tour
In honor of St. Patty's Day tomorrow, I thought it would be appropriate to pay homage to the Irish. And what better way than to showcase a beautiful Irish loft?
Beautiful arched windows leading to the balcony...
It's quite obvious this homeowner is fond of purple. I love the iridescent drapes and the artwork that ties in beautifully.
The master bedroom strays a bit from the loft's modern decor with a French-style bed and wicker chair.
In the guest bedroom, an ornate mirror and bright bedding create a playful, feminine vibe.
The bathroom's monochrome scheme and fuss-free sanitaryware are simple yet striking. The floorstanding faucet creates a sleek, modern look. The framed black and white photographs add a personal touch to the bathroom.
I love the open-living floor plan of this loft and the sleek, sexy design. What do you think?
Happy Friday, lovelies! I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!
P.S.- Today I am guest posting over at One Stylish Day at a Time. I hope you'll check out Miranda's beautiful blog!

My Boudoir
Hello, lovelies! Happy Thursday. I hope you are all having a lovely week. As you have probably noticed, I have begun a new feature called Boudoir of the Day. Each day (typically at 7 pm CST) I post an image of a bedroom that features good design and inspires me. I love to glimpse in to a person's "everyday" life and a bedroom can be very telling. Today I wanted to share a few snapshots of my own boudoir. Because I live alone, I have free reign when it came to the style of my decor, so obviously I created a very feminine and glamorous aesthetic.
{Bedside Table- local find, Lamp- DIY'ed from Hobby Lobby}
{Frame: Local Find, Books: Capri, Hue, Allegra Hicks- An Eye for Design}
{Bed: Sanctuary Bed, Trellis Pillows: via Etsy shop Pop o' Color, Bolster Pillow: Bella Notte}
{Bedside Table: High Fashion Home Frame (old): Urban Outfitters}
I hope you enjoyed a peek in to my "happy place." If you would like to have your own bedroom featured on a future "Boudoir of the Day" post, please email me at sam.e.penner@gmail.com!

Boudoir of the Day
I love this boudoir. An oversized map behind the headboard is such a unique decor idea and adds to the overall French vintage feel of the room. Of course I adore the zebra print pillow and wooden bench at the end of the bed. What do you think?
Artwork to Adore
This weekend I visited a friend's home for the first time. I was amazed at her design taste and the way in which she had decorated her quaint town home! She had painted the walls a seafoam green, styled her bedroom with a gray tufted headboard and mirrored side tables. I loved it! However, she enlisted my help when it came to a blank wall in her living room. This wall was visible right when walking in the house, however it was broken up awkwardly between the kitchen and living room. How were we going to decorate it? Hang a shelf? A large piece of art? Multiple framed photos?
A blank wall is like a blank canvas for creative minds. There are endless possibilities! My mind initially envisioned a bold statement, since the eye would naturally see this wall first when entering her home.
As I've said before, choosing art is such a personal process. I want to be sure she chooses artwork that reflects her personal taste and flows well with the overall aesthetic of the room. Still, she had no idea where to start looking or how to begin to form her own artistic taste.
I showed her a few of my favorite artists and their works. I especially love abstract watercolor paintings and figure sketches, so I tend to choose these types of mediums most. Here are my latest obsessions:
The pieces pictured here, from top left to right: Leigh Viner- Broken Wild Art Print, YangYang Pan- Gardening June, Kim Davies- Original Figure Illustration, Meg Biram- Color on the Walls, and JoAnn Belson- Female Form, Red.
In addition to the artists I mentioned above, I also love Cozamia...
And 20x200...
My friend and I are excited to find the perfect artwork for her.
What are your favorite sites to buy art from? Do you have a favorite gallery? Do share!

Boudoir of the Day
I am delighted by the upholstered chevron headboard incorporating pinks, greens, and white. This bedroom exudes femininity and tranquility. I think it's perfect for a guest room! I also love the sconces and the artwork featured by the bed. This room was styled by S.B. Long Interiors, Inc. and was featured on New England Home.
