Update + Worthy Links

TGIF!  We made it to Friday.  This week was my first week back at school in the new quarter, so needless to say I've been buried in syllabi.  Not that I'm complaining!  It's fun to study what you love.  I have also been working on a few interior projects with lots of pretty fabrics:

This Perennials print, City Kitty, may be my new favorite.  I am dying to upholster a wingback chair in it:

I also ordered Anya Larkin's Leopard wallpaper in Celery for a powder bath.  I've talked about my love for her papers often, but I've never actually gotten to use them.  For the leopard wallpaper, silver leaf squares are hand applied to rice paper.  They are then hand rubbed with an antique transparent glaze which is burnished onto the surface.  The leopard print is silk-screened with a transparent pearlescent color that gives it a metallic appearance.  This picture I took with my iPhone doesn't do it justice, but I couldn't find a picture online:

In blog news, I officially got my ticket for Blogfest 2013- the Design Bloggers Conference!  It's going to be held in LA this year from March 3-5.  Anyone else thinking of going?!

I hope I see you there! Lamps Plus is giving away a few tickets here.

This Week's Worthy Links:

- Sadie + Stella has me lusting for some antelope print in my life.

-Victoria of vmac+cheese gets real about goals and finding balance between striving for the next best thing and appreciating how far you've come.

-Gaby of Savvy Home rounds up lust-worthy items including a faux tortoiseshell wallcovering. (hello, gorgeous!)

-Stella & Dot releases their spring jewelry collection today!  Stay tuned for a fab S&D giveaway coming your way in a few weeks...

-Speaking of jewelry, I recently came across Lee Ann Jones jewelry collection and have fallen in love.  What makes her pieces unique is that they are inspired and often made from found treasures. I am needing these scalloped earrings in my life:

Have a fab weekend, loves!

  4. ohhh thanks for the intro to the Anya Larkin paper. I loved this cheetah print very similar but on a larger scale from Porter Teleo but it was pretty pricey. Is this stuff reasonable?
