I've said it many times before:  My summer style consists mainly of light and flowy dresses that help me feel stylish while battling the Texas heat.  But easy doesn't have to mean sloppy!  In fact, I've seen many stylish ladies rocking a light dress in a variety of ways:

I can't decide which I love more:  a mini flowy dress with strappy heels or a maxi dress with gladiator sandals.  Both are equally chic in my opinion.

They have a wide range of styles and colors, which I love.  I took one of their dresses along on my trip to Australia, and I was thrilled with the fit.  To be honest, I am short (5'2") and have curves, so it's difficult to find clothing that fits me well and that I feel confident in.  But the dress managed to fit the bill and exceed my expectations!

The Perfect Summer Dress

Today I am blogging over at The Girls of Lincoln Park about my idea of a perfect summer dress.  This post is perfect for today- because I am currently getting ready to go a close friend's wedding this evening.  Can you guess what I'm wearing? Yep, a summer dress!  Here are a few highlights from my post....  but be sure to check out the full version over here!

I live in short sundresses from mid March to about mid October.  That sounds crazy, right?  Living nearly in Mexico (I reside in Houston) the weather is almost always sunny, hot, and humid!  It's hard to stay fashionable in the heat, but this season I am determined to use my new passion for color to brighten up my everyday wear.

For balmy summer nights when you are going out for drinks with friends or to a special event, accessorize a colorful dress with a classic handbag and strappy statement heels. 

I also adore patterned sundresses. The more intricate the pattern, the less accessories you need! I love the messy side braid paired with this floral mini. So feminine and sweet!
