Would You Lacquer?

I love glam spaces with a hint of edge.  And what better way to create a little edge than with lacquer?  Both Kate Spade and Nate Berkus lacquered a portion of their apartments, and it certainly creates high-impact spaces that pack a punch.

Although I adore this trend, I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it in my own home.  Would you lacquer?

  1. I'm with you, I think it looks awesome but I don't think I would want it I my house. I would gladly help someone else do it to theirs though :)

    Love your blog!

  2. I love this look! But I'd lean towards only doing one wall as a focus - not sure I could handle an entire room!

  3. I love this look, but it doesn't go in my house, really. Not with an opinionated husband who loves everything wood :)
but it sure puts a room in glam mode and makes it look so designer-y!
    Happy Easter Sam!

  7. I could add lacquer to anything that sits still long enough! I would be really into bright white lacquer in a sun filled room. Tory Burch also has bright orange lacquered walls in one of her homes dining rooms, NYC apartment I think.

  8. I love lacquer, I would have it in at least two of my rooms, most definitely a rich chestnut in the library.

  9. I love this look so much! I could definitely see doing this at some point, I just don't think our current house could make it rock. Hopefully in the future :)

  15. havta agree with you. I think it's great for inspirational purposes, but I can't see putting it in my own home. My personal style is much more casual.
