Inspiration Board

I am so excited the weekend is here, friends!  It's Friday!  We made it!  At least, that's how I feel- I made it.  Numerous things made my week more stressful than I would have liked, but hey, that's life right?  I am looking forward to spending time with my girlfriends from church tonight, praying over their lives, and just fellow-shipping.  I am also looking forward to getting lost in my creative zone while working on an inspiration board in my guest-room-turned-home-office.

The beauty of creating an inspiration board is that it can be anything you want it to be!  With the advent of Pinterest and Polyvore, creating virtual inspiration boards has become easier than ever.  But for the budding artists or designers out there, I suggest creating a real one.  I have been told by several interior designers that when they work with individual clients they always ask the clients to pull pictures, colors, and fabrics they visualize.  Then, the interior designer works with what they have pulled to gather a framework for the design overhaul, typically in the form of, you guessed it, AN INSPIRATION BOARD!

Tapping in to your creative spirit is one of the most healthy things you can do for yourself.   Often, our thinking is clouded by unexpressed creative energies.  Whatever you do this weekend, I hope you take time to be creative, however that may actualize itself for you!
