In early January, Pantone announced that 2012's color of the year is tangerine tango! According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive direction of the institute, " Tangarine Tango is reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset" and "marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy." This color has me crushing hard.

I love that tangerine is the color of the season! The color is so fun and bright, it makes any outfit! I just got a pair of 70's inspired Tangerine suede slingbacks, can't wait to break them out with new spring outfits!

ReplyDeleteI was thinking about this hue earlier this week when my latest book, "Fashion Illustration 1930 - 1970", arrived and I fell hard in love with the book cover. It is absolutely delightful. Love the tangerine/burnt orange hue right now, too.

I've never been that into orange (I think its because I have black hair and it always made me think of halloween together) but tangerine is everywhere lately and its so growing on me! That last necklace is GORG!
