I can't say it enough- I love the plethora of color, shape, and pattern we have seen on the Spring 2012 runways. I love a good 50s-style floral dress as much as the next girl. However, understated fashion has held it's own this season and believe me, I've taken notice. How dreamy are these outfits?
I was particularly impressed with 3.1 Phillip Lim's Spring 2012 collection. The collection perfectly mastered a balance between minimalism and playfulness. His collection was inspired by kites, which was evident in the minimal, super thin blouses, jumpsuits and dresses. The clothes were cut with a little extra fabric on the collar or the sleeves that delicately swayed as the models walked.
This collection absolutely killed it. No bold color, pattern or shape was needed to make a big statement this season for Phillip Lim. I am craving all these luxurious silk ensembles that drape so beautifully.

Absolutely in love with these images. Can't wait for Spring!
ReplyDeletelove those first two. Come on SPRING!!!!

Agree - but I think Phillip Lim kills it every season! His pieces are always so clean. Also, I had to comment on the shoes in the first photo - they seem so awkward paired with such a tailored and clean look!
