Summer Dressing with Stylized Existence

Hi Peak of Tres Chic readers, Lauren here!  In addition to my full-time finance gig, I run a wardrobe consulting company in Cincinnati and write the blog Stylized Existence, which is focused on style tips for your every day fashion-focused woman.  While Sam is out, she asked me to drop in to share a little Spring/Summer fashion with you!  I want to work into my normal summer rotation a few new maxi dresses.  I thought today I would share two easy maxi looks that you could use as inspiration when the temps start to warm up - one more casual look, and another look that is a bit dressier- perfect for a fancy summer event or wedding!

Left Outfit:  On the left is a unique Ella Moss maxi - the pattern and colors are unexpected and pretty, and since there is a lot going on in the dress, you don't need to throw too much else into the mix from an accessories standpoint.  I chose neutral accessories that were a bit more elevated - the perforated crossbody is way more fun than a normal plain leather bag, and the metallic Joie sandals kick the look up a notch. I'm also a really big fan of wooden bead/tassel bracelets for warmer weather, and a fun baby blue polish would round out the whole look.

Right Outfit: The dress on the right is a super flattering way to show off the hard shoulder or arm work you've been doing in the gym. If a white maxi isn't your thing, this dress also comes in black! I like the punch of the white, especially with a summer tan, and it serves as the perfect canvas for some fun (spiked) Alice & Olivia shoes and a statement necklace from Bauble Bar. Add in a basic gold clutch and slap on my ABSOLUTE favorite essie polish ever (Sand Tropez) and you've got a stunning Summer look for a special evening out.

I hope you enjoyed this brief respite from the reality of the harsh winter most of us have had.  And a big, huge congratulations to Sam - may your wedding be as beautiful as you, sweet thing!

Xoxo,
