Wedding Wednesday: Aisle + Centerpiece Florals

Happy Wednesday!  I'm so glad the "We Love" series with Albertina is back for fall.  I hope you liked our posts yesterday!  Today's "Wedding Wednesday" topic du jour is florals.  Sam and I are thrilled to be working with Jacin of Lovely Little Details for our wedding flowers.  Although we have an overall vision, we are working together to define and refine the small details.  Our first decision is the wedding aisle florals.  Since our ceremony is planned to be outdoors, I love the idea of just having a small bouquet lining the aisle chairs and keeping the pathway natural:

Attaching a floral arrangement on each aisle chair creates a beautiful frame for the bride as she walks down the aisle:

But I also love the romanticism of petals strewn throughout the walkway...

Lining the aisle with a thick layer of petals makes a bold and beautiful statement...

We are also discussing centerpieces for the reception dinner tables.  I think we've pretty much decided that we're going to do unruly, overflowing florals in shorter vases.  Something similar to these in terms of style:

Did you (or do you plan to) utilize flower petals on your wedding aisle?
What is your favorite floral style for table centerpieces?

Luxe Bohemian Inspired Wedding Photoshoot

I ran across a wedding photo shoot that literally took my breath away.  The title of the shoot was "Luxe Bohemian Inspired Photoshoot", which is probably why I loved it so much.  I find myself just as drawn to boho influence as I am to elegance. I enjoy a trip to Anthropologie just as much as one to Saks Fifth Avenue.  It can be hard to marry the two very different aesthetics, but this photoshoot did so flawlessly:

The photoshoot introduced a jewelry vanity out of stacks of hay- the wedding party could pick jewelry out for pictures.  What a dream!

And now, for my favorite part, the tablescape and floral arrangements.  When you mix black, red, and fuscia, a bold color contrast is created that won't be forgotten.

The juxtaposition of glam details with a rustic barn setting creates a unique atmosphere that is beautiful without feeling stuffy.  Gone are the days when barn weddings meant cowboy boots and mason jars only.  I welcome the idea of an upscale barn wedding- one where the groom can wear a tux!

What do you think of the details?  Do you (or did you) plan to mix up the aesthetic of your wedding, or are you more of a traditionalist?  Do tell!

Vintage Chic Wedding Inspiration

Friday is upon us, friends!  I am so looking forward to this weekend.  Nothing too special is planned- just lots of rest, relaxation, and a photography class!  It's time I learned how to use that DSLR camera, don't ya think?
Since wedding season is just over the horizon, I decided to share some wedding inspiration with you today.  The theme is "vintage chic." Soft, feminine touches.  Antique furniture.  Rustic chairs.  Classic elegance.  Although my tastes are quite eclectic, I think this might be my dream wedding palette.

Happy Monday!  Another week, another fresh start, another chance to get it right.  The things that are inspiring me this morning are bold, colorful, cheery items with a bit of fashion mixed in.  Perhaps my subconscious is fighting for some internal sunshine during this crazy winter season.  Who knows?  My only hope is that my inspiration can spark your inspiration, can get your wheels turning, or simply just brighten your morning.  Here's what's inspiring me today...
